voiceofthepeople,

Until you can act somewhat civil, you have been banned from using this board! Should you have a change of heart, we may consider your readmission.

Contact me with at "messageboard@recordcollectorsguild.org" if you would like to discuss your current situation or reinstitution.

Well...at the risk of sounding overly stuffy, fixated on performers or sentimental, I find it hard to laugh at anything associated with the loss of a giant like this in the music industry. I also don't see the relationship between his death and gun use; I know it was an attempt to be clever but I found it inappropriate and somewhat lame and perhaps just a bit too close on the heels of the tragedy. I don't know about other collectors but some artists are just a big influence on your life. Not only do I avidly collect records, but I am also a part-time musician and former on air disc jockey. All that really means nothing except that in all three areas, the Bee Gees have figured somewhat prominently for me due to their great longevity as an influential group on the pop scene. I had also gotten wind of the fact that a concert was being organized in the Hamilton area and was really looking forward to that! So, you'll have to excuse me if I don't keel over guffawing!
