So a ran across this guide today at the local flea bag, though it could be helpful.
It's the 1st edition, 1983, Cox/Lindsay "Complete Beatles US Records Price Guide" (OSullivan-Woodside Publisher)
Whose got one of these? Do you still use it?

That would be good for basic info such as years of release and different pressings but I wouldn't put much faith in the values listed within since it is 26 years old.

And since it's Perry Cox's book, everything is probably vastly overpriced anyway.

Well, I figured the prices would be a little off since they are 26 years old, but I wasn't aware of this Cox guy being off the mark with his gues-timents.
If this was the "1st" edition how many more has he done?

Perry Cox gets top dollar for his Beatles records because of his reputation. The average Joe could have the same lp in the same condition up for auction and get nowhere near what Perry will get for his record.

I too, keep older guides if they contain alot of info.Every bit helps.Newer guides might not contain certain info that older guides do.Partly because some records go below the radar of collectibility or don't meet certain criteria such as they must be worth at least $10 to be in the book.
