Will do! I do have a nagging desire to have a sharable list of my goods. The one legit concern is I never bought an unlock code. Maybe that's the one crippled feature of the package. However I will send you some small files, I only cataloged about 130 albums. And Thanks! Jim

I've been working with databases for over 25 years, everything you described should work. 130 LPs should be a small file, send it. The reality is if the program decides to freeze up because you didn't buy the unlock code it is in your best interest to see if I can make something of this. Anymore data input at this point could be a waste of your time. In truth I should be able to make these files work for you.

I'd like to note I'm doing this for free but if you feel after this is done it has been helpful to you, you might want to consider a contribution to RCG (Record Collectors Guild).

Tain't no thang! I've got hundreds more to enter(if I get around to it). I would like to! Even if just to sit cross legged on the floor and make voice entries on my digital recorder then input them on MCM.

Another good point to be made is, instead of screwing with something that's obviously worthless crap, why not move on to a product that works, works well, and works with anything instead of jacking around with this?

It is sounding more and more like you do have files that work just your "Libra" software doesn't know how to deal with them. If you used Excel you should be able to open any of the files you describe and view them. Any decent database program should also be able to at least import the deliminated text file, the database program I use Paradox could use any of the 3 you mentioned.

But then again you do have a point you've only entered 130 entries, I tend to add 1000 every week to my database, been doing that for 8 years now.

There are websites like Discogs that allow you to "mark" the records you have to compile a list. That'll save you a lot of data entry but Discogs tends to make a big mess of the data and it can at times to make no sense the way things get sorted. Boiler plate websites do this.

Thanks for your input Global. I tried discogs after ignoring it for so long, and am hooked. I love it. Took me a while to see the light, but I'm hooked. Jim

Y'all(that's Texas slang) can forget this thread. I've had issues with the software in question here. I've found better solutions and will click on control panel/uninstall software on this one. Check my other threads for better solutions, Jim
