hello, I was going through my stacks of vinyl and beatles records and made an unusual discovery inside the sleeve of The White Album. Can't believe I never noticed it before.
I have the Purple Capitol Label Pressing.

Stuck to the inside of the jacket is a black and white ink image of Paul McCartney. It left a nearly perfect transfer inside the jacket. The ink is heavy black and feels tacky to the touch. The size and scale of the image is identical to that of the glossy inserts. Only difference is this is Black Black ink, and is detailed as per say a warhol art. Any ideas what this is?? googled up the wazuu with no luck.
Thanks!

if anyone needs I could take a pic and attach it if it would help. Very interested to know what this might be.

as i thought more... it could maybe be an iron on transfer???? I'm pretty certain that there weren't transfers issued with the white album, were there?

Apologies, posted this in the Beatles Forum here as well, but thought a different audience might help too.

Trying to identify this "insert" that I peeled out of the inside of my White Album.
As far as I know, it's not an official insert (could be wrong), but none the less it was there and has been for a long while.

When I peeled it out of the jacket it left a transfer... likely because the ink is thick and a bit tacky, shiny too. Print quality seems much higher than any standard printer...
It's a mystery to me.

Is of the exact size, scale and image of the glossy insert that is standard in the White Album.

Maybe you know something about what it could be?

unsucessful upload, so photos are posted here

No, an iron-on transfer did not come with the White Album.

The White Album should have come with a poster and four color pictures of the Beatles.

Yes, a picture would help here. Also, If it is an actual production piece and not just a one off that someone made, Google Image search will pull it up.

Someone probably added that to the White Album because it was taken from one of the four White Album photos.
