Here is one of the most desirable RAB records to have.

It seems to be in great shape, save for what looks like a removed sticker. The scan shows that the numbers are machine stamped, so, it is an original.

I personally think it will get around $1500. So, anybody else have any guesses as to the final selling price??

i wish i had this one in place of my copy. auctions always depend on 2 main things, one: more than one person wanting item and two: the reputation of the person selling it.

i have seen some things go for what i would call "excessive" recently, it that's any indicator i would think this 45 will bring about 2 to 3 thousand.

i've been away for a week so i'm just now catching up on things.

which would you rather have for 1500 bucks? rock ola ruby or this? http://www.musicpriceguide.com/1492/_VERY_RARE_ROCKABILLY_TENNESSEE_THOMPSON_45_RPM.html hear it here-------http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Qr4I2jim2I

to me there's no comparison but some 45s that aren't really that good have sold for 1000 to 2000 bucks recently, things i would just label "uptempo country".

i'm not kidding, the tennessee thompson 45 sold for 1500 according to music price guide. there's been a few things like the tennessee thompson record sell for over 1000 dollars recently that i think are just so so. perhaps the new collectors hear something in these records that i don't but to me they're ok to have but not at that price. it doesn't make sense that the sonee west 45 would sell for about the same price.

a shame our economy won't let US collectors buy OR hang on to stuff like that...
It's even more MELANCHOLY that our rarest stuff sails across the seven seas, beyond it's homeland grasp...

What's even more amazing is that this went for more than twice
the Sonee West:

and here's a clip of this:

This thing sucks big-time.
