I'm fairly new to the world of Vinyl and I have a question regarding Framing Inserts and Posters including the Albums.

My question is: If I remove the say the posters from Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon to have them frame will this alter the worth of my record? I'm assuming not, but I want to take any precaution that may devalue my collection. Thanks

Welcome to the RCG Grizzly.

If you were to frame up those posters and then try selling the album without posters, yes it would detract from potential resale value. If you do frame the posters, be careful to keep them away from direct sunlight as it may cause fading.

I've framed a number of concert posters and LP posters and they make a great display in my studio. I built the frames from scrap redwood.

Maybe you could also try to find a second copy with a worn record and good posters, that album was sold in very big quantities so there are many copies still around.

Cactus, I have seen pics of your room/collection but I can't help staring a few minutes at them everytime I see pics again! It's beautiful

Thanks for the replies, and I must say what a beautiful setup Cactus. I like the idea of trying to find word records with good posters. That may be on my list next time I go to the local garage sales. Usually I reject all records with poor quality vinyl, but just snagging the posters never really crossed my mind.

I've always wanted that Dylan poster by Milton Glaser.

...my sweetest poster insert has to be the poster from Let It Bleed...but it's still tucked away with the LP...damn my OCD. Also got a couple of the early Bowie posters, etc...I like the old die-cut LP jackets...or foil, or shaped, etc...THOSE are abundant, and make great wall artwork!

man i still dunno what comicbook/magazine i ordered it out of, but when i was like 10 years old,
I got this GIGANTIC surfer poster. It was B&W, dude was battling a GODZILLA wave... That
damn thing was like 5 foot tall by 10 feet long. It was so cool. Cost me $1.00, and arrived in this
super thick/rigid poster tube. It covered almost a complete wall in my bedroom! Looked awesome
That was a cool deal (mid 70's, I think)? Smile
