I've seen similar packaging on a couple of CDs, but this is a first for me on an LP. A unique “matchbook” cover – the inserts and inner sleeve are stapled into the cover in such a way that the whole cover folds in on itself and locks closed like a book of matches. In the first pic, the row of faces is a piece that wraps around from the back, and is the bottom "tuck-in" part of the matchbook. The rest of the cover wraps around from the other side (all one long piece of paperboard) and tucks into the shorter part at the bottom (with the faces). Open it (very carefully) and the heavy inner sleeve and insert are stapled into the bottom of the matchbook, taking on the roll of "matches". You can see the staples near the men's throats in the first pic. It's not a very user-friendly design if you want to keep it looking nice, but I give it high marks for originality. This one gets the record stored outside of the sleeve.

Very nice. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one.
