The most I've spent on one record, so far, is $6 plus $4 shipping. It turned out to be warped too. Evil or Very Mad The majority of my records cost $1 each.

First of all, define "one record." Are we talking about a single LP/45/78, or do we also consider box sets? If the latter, then I've spent $400 on the recently released "Paramount Wonder Box" issued by Third Man Records and I've also spent just over $100 for a NM used copy of the Rhino 12 LP John Coltrane box set "The Heavyweight Champion", his complete Atlantic recordings. I doubt that either of these purchases would impress the original poster, who's clearly a fan of first pressings, but so be it. I'll gladly own second pressings or reissues of music I that I like and want. A single LP? I've spent $30-$35 on a few of the new releases. Aside from these examples, most of my records have been bought for little money, either at yard sales & thrift shops or by acquiring larger collections.
