There were some records posted here for offers.
We dickered up and down for a day or so and I left it to him to decide on my final offer.
Following are the relevent PMs

Any particular reason?

So far he has neither read nor replied.
Since you won't do it privately maybe you'll do it publicly.

Other than that, any observations or comments from the general public?

A deal made and followed through shows integrity, I would say this seller (whoever it is) has no integrity and I think others should be aware of who it is so they don't waste their time in a similiar situation

Same thing happened to me on AK yesterday with a sealed older issue Magical Mystery Tour for $25 shipped. I paid yesterday then got a PM this morning informing me "it was his wife's and she did not want to sell it" and a refund

If I agreed and accepted your money, then the deal is "DONE"!

SAD to have no response from the Poster!
More than enough time has passed!

I agree with Northwinds,"time waster"!

This one was a "bad deal" and should be Posted as such,to warn others!

Not even a "my dog peed on them" or "I dropped them and they shattered like Turkish taffy"?

If it's a regular seller here, I say out them for everyone's good; if it's just an occasional seller, you might post a link to this thread as a reply to the next time they offer some.

That's truly disappointing and certainly annoying! I've experienced a similar deal just once in the past 8 years or so. Nevertheless, this seller has responded, telling the record has been damaged while he packed it for shipping, the way I asked for?!

The seller you talked about seems to be a real a**hole! I fear, business manners becoming more rude with the times. My guess, he's found a buyer, which was prepared to spend more for the record.

That is rubbish. This seller broke the transaction code which is,once PM or email's are sent and and a price is agreed upon, the sale is done.

In the old days, if a man looked you in the eye, and told you he'd be there at 6, he'd be there at 5:30.

This isn't the old days. Many people are yuppies. They tend to be full of sh*t. Sorry, I'm not politically correct.

Your experience is unfortunate. Move on with the knowledge he enabled you with. He built the boat, let him paddle it.
