Love him or hate him (there is sufficient reason for both), Uncle Punk Rock sits down with the Crate Diggers crew to go through some of his favorite finds, music as a child and spending time in record shops.

Video length: 13:30

Amazing! We differ on many things, the value of the band Yes for instance, but much of his story is very similar to mine. In 1970 I bought Zappa's Hot Rats at a clothing boutique that also sold some avant garde records. The photo on the cover was so cool I just knew the music was going to freak me out.

::: Yes ... the ultimate worst band ever...right.

Another true musician respected on his own work that fails on the criticism to other fellow musicians. (see Eddie Van Halen for more examples)

Even though someone with such eclectic tastes somehow can't find room for the Grateful Dead and the Beach Boys, and though I suspect that if he was giving away his whole collection I'd probably be interested in less than half of the titles (I'd definitely want any and all copies of Carmina Burana), he deserves credit for being a somewhat wild-eyed music enthusiast - and a thousand bonus points for being the guy who wrote "Too Drunk to F##k".
