I picked an old "Mad Magazine" record up the other day. It's square cardboard with circular grooves centered in the cardboard.

What is the best way to clean the grooves? I'm assuming gently with only distilled water?

I have several of these "records" and I clean 'em with just ordinary tepid warm water and a drop a dish washing liquid! That works fine for me. Of course you have to dry them after doing so - best by using a micro fibre towel. By the way, most of these gimmicks don't play well and sound terrific. I snatch them just for a visual "kick"
