Sound clips and video are also handy to make the ad more sticky. With you tube et al, it's easy to do.

Remember - search engines only pick up text. I have seen scans of covers, which is nice, but someone searching for a particular obscure song or musician isn't going to find your auction unless it's typed. And use some common sense - no point in typing out the titles of your Styx album, but for a truly 'rare' disc, it might prove to be worth your time.

Thatīs some good advice, Beatleharb. If I were to sell records on ebay I would also put the label in the head line. I believe there are lots of people collecting by label.

This mostly applies for records by well known or very little known artists/bands. Nothing in between.

Try Auctionplayer. Much more easier to manage than youtube. Although I'd prefer esnips.

Make sure you put RARE NORTHERN SOUL in the title, even if it's country folk music. That's guaranteed to double your final price.

That may work once or even twice. The third time you get 'busted' with doing such thing you're officially marked as a joke(r) seller Very Happy

That's what I'm using. Embeddable player sure helps.

I never use the word rare.Imo that's courting bad feedback unless you combed the whole world to be beyond positive that something is.I have sold truly rare records, and I still don't use that term.I'll use obscure and terms like that As others pointed out here, if it rare the right people know it is.As to putting rare in a title to get them look and bid, that's just plain misleading, and serious buyers want the product they seek, not hype......and worse....a bait and switch.
