Hello all,

The Record Collectors Guild has established a special category entitled "Shop Owner's Haven". Within this area, the owners of walk in and online record stores, can discuss topics and exchange ideas about events that affect their business and everyday lives.

This is a "special group". Which means that only shop owners can enter these forums and participate in their discussions or dealings.

Feel free to advise the Guild and its moderators, on any specials needs that you feel would improve this haven for you and your business.

Regards,
cutter
Administrator,
the Record Collectors Guild

To join, click on the "Usergroups" button in the header menu. Next, in the drop down menu box, select "Record Store and Website Owners" and click view information. Finally, you will see the button to apply.

Please note: You must be a registered member in order to apply. You must also be either a "walk in" or "online" record shop owner to qualify. The Administrator will make the final determination on the suitability of a "online" shop.

For any other question or problems, feel free to contact me by PM or e-mail.

Regards,
cutter

I can see it now, the dealers will all be complaining about the buyers in the open forum of the new part of the Guild, and then the buyers will read their posts and start complaining about the dealers in the open forum of the old part of the Guild. I just hope there won't be too many civil wars in the places both camps share such as "Idle Chatter." Laughing

Well, we can complain about the buyers, but they can't see that we are complaining. Laughing

But seriously, I think it just gives store owners a chance to talk to each other about certain problems we all face, without having to explain it to regular collectors.
An owner of a record store understands the problems that he faces with say, downloading or mp3's, where somebody else might not see his point of view. To be able to discuss things like this without always having a heated debate it just great.

I really like these new forums.
