I enjoy looking at record covers drawn by comics artists and I have a few. My favorite artist is Jack Davis.

I had to write the guy who has that website to have his spelling corrected. It should read at the top: RECORD COVERS DRAWN BY COMICS ARTISTS, not the way he has it now. Let's see if he acknowledges my email.

This cover is by Wallace Wood, perhaps the best artist (in terms of execution and style) whose work graced the pages of MAD Magazine. High camp indeed. This example is from a recent thrift shop haul -- a shame about the cello tape holding the cover together, though.

Picked this up a few weeks ago - speaking of Mr. Davis. Mint condition from 1972.

R. Crumb stands out from all others.
I thought of this message string when I found this Lp today.
"Klezmorim" Arhoolie records 3011 circa 1978. STILL SEALED!

Does Rick Griffin count? I became familiar with him through his "Murphy" comic strip work in Surfer Magazine, but he is famous for his covers for the Greatful Dead and all the psychedelic concert posters he did back in the late '60s. The guy was a genius.
