I ran a search and didn't find anything, so I apologize if this has been driven into the ground:

I'm wondering if there are any free online price guides? I noticed a link to recordmaster.com, in the "Neal's Dead" Thread, but was asked to register and the site appears out-dated. Is that one any good? Can anyone suggest others?

Thanks, and I'm glad to hear this fella Neal is still kickin'. Smile

Checking past auctions on ebay is often your best bet for checking values. You can also check popsike.com or Gemm. But as far as free online price guides go they really don't exist, and when they finally do, I doubt they'll be free.

I'm not sure but I think that's the direction Neal may be going.

Were you guys talking about me? The very first question I asked was about that.

If you find one, I'm sure it will be worth every penny. Wink

One thing to keep in mind, a local artist can sometimes sell for more in your region than he would nationally. For example, I have an old KDKA transcription of funny radio commercials done by Rege Cordic and company. This would be worthless outside of Pittsburgh but would probably sell here.

I think it is very unreaonable to expect a free price guide.

Suppose an individual, after years of work and study, knows the prices in a particular area of collecting very well. He can either use this knowledge to make money by buying and selling records, or write a price guide.

It is much more work to write a price guide.

Do you think he is going to do all that work, and then give it away?
