**NOTE**

In late 1960 the first of what would eventually be 28 all-Elvis inner sleeves, came with G.I Blues LP. This sleeve prominently featured Elvis is Back! with additional photos and promotional plugs for eight of Elvis's first nine long playing albums (Elvis Christmas Album is NOT mentioned). The Backside pictures 16 Elvis extended plays.
Besides G.I Blues, RCA also used the "Elvis is Back" sleeve with random albums by other Victor artists. It is also possible that this sleeve came with some of the Elvis albums issued between G.I Blues and It Happened at the Worlds Fair, although this is only speculation.
When Elvis Golden Records Volume 3 appeared in late 1963 it was discovered that a new breed of Elvis inner sleeve, one picturing 16 previous Elvis LP's on the front and 21 EP's on the back. Neither of these first two all-Elvis inner sleeves were numbered; however, beginning with the next one- issued in 1964-the identification numbers appeared on every Elvis inner sleeve.
Over the years, paper inner sleeves were used to promote virtually all of the formats besides vinyl records where Elvis's music could be heard: Stereo 8, Twin Pack Stereo 8, Cassette, Reel-to-Reel, and the very short lived Q8 Cartridges. Separate inner sleeves are even devoted to Elvis Camden LP's and Tapes.
Also of important notice, RCA did not number their sleeves in order of LP release.

Also, there are four RCA Victor sleeves that have yet to be identified:

~RCA Victor 21-112-1 PT 56B
~RCA Victor 21-112-1 PT 56C
~RCA Victor 21-112-1 PT 57C
~RCA Victor 21-112-1 PT 55C

The above four sleeves contain: "Verification Pending" on the body of the sleeve. These should be treated as rare, until substantial information can be complied.

Holy crap, I hope you didn't do all that on account of my question in the other thread! Nice info, but that is seriously a lot of typing! Now I know why you said "Ugh"!

Is it from an Elvis record???

Hi LPMAN,

I have 2 Elvis records with this same sleeve.

LSP-2075(e) &
LPM-1707

If it is helpful on the back of this sleeve on the bottom is:

RCA's new "Red Seal" Magnetic Tape is used in recording RCA Victor albums and pre-recorded tapes. This superlative product of Radio Corporation of America, produced by today's most advanced techniques, is now available for home use.

TMK(S) r Radio Corporation of America. Marca(s) Registrada(s)

Thanks for any help Smile

If it's the one I'm thinking of (from your description) it's a rather common stock RCA Victor inner sleeve. From sometime during the late 1950s - mid 1960s, I'd think.

In A TOUCH OF GOLD - THE ELVIS PRESLEY RECORD & MEMORABILIA PRICE GUIDE (my second Elvis guide, published in 1990), I have the inner sleeves that you have not identified listed as:

21-112-1 PT 54B is unknown;

21-112-1 PT 54E is unknown; and

21-112-1 PT 56C advertises the cassette line with ELVIS AS RECORDED AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN as the most recent title listed and the years it was used as 1972-73.

My list ended with 21-112-1 PT 57B.

Hope this helps. . .

It's possible that 21-112-1 PT 54B and 21-112-1 PT 54E were never manufactured. . .
