So far, I've gone through 2,000 (of 20,000) and I found 103 albums with cool hidden messages.

DAYUMM- you are one patient/determined feller, LOL!!
But seriously, I also think it would be neat to check every last record in the man-cave, but
good grief I don't have your kinda determination!! (Now I'm wondering how I've previously
ever discovered the cryptic messages I DID notice... probably by sheer chance while cleaning them...)

Yeah, well being obsessive is what gets people into this collecting situation in the first place. Smile
I'm just glad it's directed into something useful and fun.

I ran across an EP by the Mummies a few months ago. In the trailer was, "I Hate the Mummies".

B) TOTALLY ILLOGICAL CAPTAIN

The side B message is partially etched over the matrix numbers. That's the first time I've noticed something like that.

Porky (AKA Peco) has some of the funnier etchings on the deadwax. Will have to dig some out.

Those Factory ones are pretty cool. I enjoyed this book on the label, Factory Records: The Complete Graphic Album:

Seems like the hardcover is very rare and expensive, but the "paperback" (it's more of a thicker laminated type cover) is more reasonably priced. Not even sure where I got mine but it couldn't have been more than $5 or so; now that I think about it it might have been at my university book store sale (also got a cool Blue Note art book and an old school Playboy hardcover art book from the same sale).
