Heya,
Found this recently and wondered if anyone knows anything about it?
It's their first "Damned, Damned, Damned" album on Stiff, Seez 1, 6.23316 BL. It's a German copy on lilac vinyl.

I've seen a few copies on popsike selling quite high, but I've seen a couple of green copies too. Anyone know a realistic value, what colours were available, and a rough year of release? The sleeve feels mid-80s.

Thanks for any help!
Pacey

My copy is pressed on blue vinyl and purchased new in 1977 or 1978? IIRC, there was no USA release at the time, so I bought the UK import. It was in a plastic outersleeve when purchased. The record store clerks taped a handwritten note on the outersleeve: "Limited Edition Blue Vinyl!!!" It's still in that old plastic sleeve, record & cover in NM condition.

Great album, an essential Punk Rock classic. Going on the turntable right now. Very Happy

I WANT THAT RECORD!

Why not post pics of that German release?

I have some German releases with rather flimsy sleeves that are earlier than mid-80's. Is that the quality you are referring to?

Sorry mate, can't take a pic right now, I'm sorting through my records picking out loads to sell and it's a mess in here Very Happy Here's a popsike link to one, can't find it anywhere else: http://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=120176641694
I bought it for about 70p / $1 thinking it was a standard copy, didn't realise til yesterday it was lilac! I can do some pics later on perhaps. The sleeve isn't flimsy, just the type of all-laminate that ran for a bit in the 80s... I think it's a keeper though Smile

I've seen that blue vinyl copy CC, very nice. It's pretty rare over here I think.

what a brilliant record, i've never seen the lilac version. i'd love to get my paws on a copy! blue or green would be great as well, ive only ever seen standard black.
