This is a vinyl my grandfather bought in the 70's and gave to me. But something terribly bad happened to it. It somehow got bended (I don't know the right word for that, I'm from Mexico) and it's clearly visible from the pictures. Can you see the burning mark on top of the picture sleeve? I don't know what happened here, maybe someone left a cigarrete on it or something. It only affects the playing of the first 2 songs. Fortunately it didn't affect my favorite song, A Day in the Life.
So can anyone tell me how I can fix it? or is it damaged beyond any help?

I've had fairly good luck repairing warped LP's where there is no evidence of heat damage, which, I'm sad to say, is what you have. There is a difference. Your record shows signs of actually beginning to melt from excessive heat. Unfortunately, that type of "warp" is not repairable since the groove has been damaged.

A warped record that is "wavy" and doesn't lay flat on the turntable platter to the degree that the stylus mistracks or jumps the groove can be made flat. I did one just yesterday by putting the record between 2 heavy pieces of glass and laying the "sandwich" in direct sunlight on my asphalt driveway for about 2 hours. I then let the sandwich cool for an hour before removing the glass. The record is now perfectly flat and tracks fine. The key is having glass that is heavy enough to flatten the record. I had been using ordinary window glass with mixed results, but I now have 2 panes of 1/4 inch thick glass that work nicely.

Thanks Greyhound! I think I'm going to try that. If it doesn't work I will frame it or something.

well, I tried it... didnīt work very much well, but at least the first songs are now playable, with a little noise when the stylus passes the warp... well, I only like A Day In The Life and it plays perfectly...

I'm not too up on worldwide Beatles discs, but this looks like a mid 70s French issue. The sticker looks identical to a French red vinyl copy of the Stones' 'Some Girls'. Nice LP even though it has the warp!

Indeed a French reissue. It was released in at least 8 different colours of vinyl in France, all with the DC1 release number ("disque colour"), see picture from my collection. Yellow, orange and green are the easiest to find IMO. Purple and translucent grey are quite hard.
