Yup, it's true, I have one...though mine is "Hula Blues" on the Bell label out of Hawaii. Not only is it a neat curiosity, the music is real good, too - typical Hawaiian guitar/ ukelele stuff...very pleasant.
Does anyone have any information on these earlier Beach Boys?

It was an exclusive Record Store Day release last year, smolanski. My neighbor managed to score a copy for me. It's a double 78 rpm set with released and alternate versions of Good Vibrations and Heroes And Villains.

They are also available on the Prime label released in the '80s for juke box play only. The titles were "Fun, Fun, Fun B/W "409"

Do you believe the Bell label release to be the same group out of California or is it a Hawaiian group with the same name?

Long delayed response: it was a trio out of Hawaii - guitar, steel guitar and bass. No vocals and the group was featured on only one side of the record. The REAL Beach Boys would've been toddlers by the time this was released, I think.
