That's funny that Journey has no votes.

I went to a concert in the 70s to see Starcastle & Journey.

Starcastle opened and put on a great show.
When they finished, half the people left.

Journey came on and played to only 50% of the people.
It was really quite sad.

Shocked
I put Bob Seger. I had to. I'm come from Detroit. If I didn't they would come and take me away.
No, I really do love them. Still the Same is one of my absolute favorites. I could listen to it endlessly.

Definately not anything on the list. I prefer the proto-metal stuff of BOC, Deep Purple, AC/DC,Mountain,Black Sabbath, etc.
But if I had to choose one on the list I'd probably take early Journey when they still had some of the Santana vibe.

I voted Heart but I also like Seger, Eagles and Foreigner.

Sorry.....I can't stand Boston.....I like old Skynyrd - before the crash. I know someone who fell asleep at a Journey concert!

I also agree that another poll should be done....maybe a Metal/Hard Rock from the 70's???

Too many good ones to pick one favorite. Smile

You've got to be kidding! None of the above. "Guest" had it right. All of the best bands are missing from the original posting.

My favorite 70's? That's tough. Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, King Crimson, Yes, and Frank Zappa come to mind. Then we get into punk. How about Clash, Ramones, Television, Pere Ubu, The Fall.....
