My friend who GAVE me the Wurlitzer jukebox also told me I could have this beautiful Edison Diamond Disc Phonograph, model C150, if I wanted it! He had the exterior restored and was working on the insides but decided he didn't have time to work on it anymore. He still has to find some of the parts for me as he cleans out his workshop but I'll take it as is and be very happy!

That's a beautiful Edison player. It looks very similar (maybe the same model) to one in a local antique shop. I've heard several of these Edison players and they do sound very nice.

I have about 75 Edison Diamond Discs in my collection. I play them on either my Technics SP-15 or SL-1200 at 80 RPM with a Stanton 500 w/3.0 stylus, with one channel wired out-of-phase to capture the vertical signal only. Some of my better Diamond Discs are the best sounding acoustic era discs that I own.

Actually I think this machine will only play the thick Edison Diamond Discs. I don't have the reproducer yet but I'm pretty sure it's different from a regular Victrola. I only have a couple of Diamond Discs but I'll be on the lookout for more. I see them every now and then but have always passed on them since I couldn't play them. Now I'll be able to.

I'll definitely be putting a few blues 78s in the jukebox!!
