If the Monarch date seems awfully early compared to the first appearance in Billboard, I am keeping note of it. Often it DOES mean that the album didn't attract attention for a few weeks.

How do you get the triangle (delta) symbol to show...?

Copy+paste is (probably) the simplest method. MS Windows users should be able to type [alt] + 0916 (from the keypad).

Either &#9651 followed immediately by a semicolon, ; , or
&Delta followed immediately by a semicolon, is the proper HTML Code.
However, using the name (Delta) does not always show up,
so the number is the right way here.

But copying and pasting is much faster.

Thanks again for the Dion code. I noticed in other threads that you, Fred, have a lot of Dion. Do you happen to have Monarchs of the 3 early pressings of his first album (1002/2002)?

Thanks for the Delta tip Δ .As for the Presenting lp's, both 2002's are New York ("R") pressings by RCA. The 1002, which I just got recently, only has the Columbia stamp.

I would have figured the Δ to be an alternate letter option. Thanks again.

(I just previewed before posting and noticed that the triangle didn't appear in my response. Maybe after I submit...?)

Just got in my last 1000-series Laurie LP to complete the run:

CHRIS BARBER'S "AMERICAN" JAZZ BAND Chris Barber - Laurie LLP 1009 - XTV 69464/69465 - △ 4150.

It shows in Billboard as originally being available in the UK on the Columbia banner in April, 1961. The US Columbia number puts it around October, 1961.
