On occasions I like to take a gamble on a record without knowing much about it or sometimes nothing at all. Took one of those gambles today and picked up the following.

http://silveradoraremusic.blogspot.ca/2012/10/prodigal-sons-emerge-from-void-1972-us.html

A quick search on goggle seems to yield very little info on this band. Mostly links repeating the same thing. Only other thing I came across was on a CD universe page indicating its a 2009 release and was only done as an acetate back in the 70's.

I was wondering if anyone else has it, heard it or knew any thing about the band? Gave it a spin and found it very enjoyable for an initial listen.

I will download the album for tomorrow at the office. I couldn't play the video that was embed on the blog but from the description sounds like a good album. Did you purchase the 2009 release you mentioned?

I own a copy of the Lp on Void records. A record collector whom I sometimes trade with told me about this album. I've known about the Acetate before it was reissued on Void. At 1st I thought the band was Uncle Bucks but that didn't turn out the band name. There are no band member names on the cover,lp. Another unsolved mystery as to who the band members are and were the band is from. It's a killer lp.

Agreed. After a cleaning and a play on the main system, the fidelity could be a tad better. Considering the nature of the recording and their origins, its easy to overlook. Smile

Sometimes Void records represses reissues,it's there call and no guarantees.
