This would have been more appropriate for a Rinky-Dinks single on ATCO. Wink As for a grade, how about "very good with a noticeable factory defect and writing on the label".

Yeah, that sums it up pretty well. Maybe add something about how great it sounds when you play it....and no returns, of course.

Why would anybody do that to a record? Are they trying to make some 7 inch earrings or something?

ha ha, now that is funny ---- after much thought i think "beautiful shape with one hole a little off center".
you all know my fav grade is "beautiful shape" that's abbreviated "BS"

my take on grading....


mint doesn't really exist. perfect? i'll pass on calling records perfect.

keep in mind a brand new record, when opened can sometimes have imperfections.

M- is what many of us utilize when a record looks brand new... or, NM

VG+ should still look new, but there will be some MINOR imperfections seen in a bright light.

VG has a bazillion small problems. most folks won't want these.
that doesn't mean they won't still play.

use "buyers eyes" not a sellers mentality, when grading.

use BRIGHT light. be brutally honest.
