Short answer, hit a Barnes & Noble--go to the hobby section--there will be two or three guides, and maybe even one for 45s in particular. Get the Goldmine book, it's a great discographical aid as well...

There is a forum here called: Tell me about Price Guides and Grading.

Even the older threads there might be useful, as they discuss the flaws of various available price guides.

save your money and buy some vinyl.

popsike or other similar web sites are far more realistic.

i can order "price guides" at wholesale for the retail store i manage, but I don't.

i wouldn't do that to my customers, frankly.

also, they kinda know better than to use price guides.

they're not worth the money, imho.

obscure rock LP's (data/info/etc): Neal-o's 1st book (1985).
Otherwise, agree with the above...

Well, fleshing out my comment, in the big picture I think eBay knocked the prices way down, because people realized whoa--there were many many copies of most records pressed...(something we've covered here at length)...

i agree davy, that along with the ever increasing postal rates that make it difficult for our foreign friends to buy records by mail.

Collector's Frenzy is also a valuable resource.

They list auctions that ended and the highest price paid for records.
