Hi I'm new here and this is ny first thread.

So.. I picked up this album the other day but I can't find any info on this one. The original was released on Columbia in 58 and this one I got looks exactly like that besides that all Columbia-logos is overpainted/overpatched with this Samson label. On the front of the cover the Samson had worn off so I can tell that this must have been an original Columbia record at some point.

So what do know about Samson records? Cheapies or raries?

Sounds like a copywrite problem. A few of Columbia records for export had the logo blocked out or covered as another company had copywrited the name elsewhere. Check the matrix on discogs. This record was first released in France in 1956 on the Vogue label.
