I recently purchased a collection of 45's from an old radio station. There were a dozen or so that were warped. Luckily, most of the warped ones were fairly common, except for this one.

(Sorry about the photo, but I took it just for my records and didn't think I would be posting it!)
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town by Skip Jackson & The Shantons on DOT-MAR

Normally, I'd give a deep sigh and chuck it in the trash, but not this time.
I put together an annual Christmas CD of holiday music you won't hear on the radio and this would have been perfect for it. I decided to try to fix it.

I tried a few different methods on the other warped records and found one that seemed to work. I gave it a try on the good one and this how it turned out:

There is a bit of distortion at the start of the record, but it is now playable!
I just used some items I had laying about. Would you like to know How I did it?

Looks good. I would certainly like to know you did this! I've got a few warped records I'd like to play as well.

Pretty good, I'm impressed.
I get about 1 in every 10 or so playable, so if it's new and it works I'm all for it

First I was thinking he had 2 copies of the single, but if it indeed fixed the warp, let us in on the secret.

Me too, but that stamp certainly doesn't look fake-able. Would definitely like to know the method. I have experienced the outer distortion too. Something about the record stretching out as it flattens I suspect.
