::: That's the one that has 'Don't shade a Tear? It's a song I like from PC

My beloved 'Get Close' by PRetenders (1986) has been with me since, well, puberty...last week, I don't know, as soon as the side A was about to ended, there was many noise, that I needed to clean it, but then again there was noise. I think I'll be getting another copy soon, but there's no reissues of it yet. Gotta find an 80's copy again.

Bad-meaning the music,not the condition of the record.

::: Damn

SID over this years I've becoming kinda picky on what I buy: mainstream rock artists or pre-owned albums that were lost in my collection
Thanks for clarify!
In that case, I just listened to just 3 songs of an ASIA album (Astra) didn't like it, great cover sleeve though

Oh, in the world of 45s I run into this ALL the time: great group name, obscure label, song title sounds interesting...and it REEKS! I shelled out $3 (the guy WAS asking $12) for a disc by The Bombers - I couldn't believe it was listed in Osborne's guide as a $30 - $50 record...it was like The Ames Brothers on Quaaludes.

I am very familiar with that. For a while, I was scoring good, but now, mostly disappointment.

Fairly recently, I cleaned off about 80 singles that I picked up over the summer. Six were really good. About another six I'm sure I'll like with repeated play, about 30 that were so so, the rest just awful!

Never would have known that song by name, and I wasn't even born yet when it came out, but I'm sure I heard this song dozens of times as a kid - I instantly recognized the intro.

::: Chad, it's hard to read this from you, as I listened this song on the Top40 when I was 15 years old...how old am I then?

Chad pretty sure you would`ve heard Don`t Shed A Tear,it was written by a Canadian -so it would be Can-Con(Canadian Content),co written by Eddie Schwartz.

It wasn't recent, but Yoko Ono's Season Of Glass quickly comes to mind.
I had to take numerous deep breathes to calm myself and stay put for the duration of the album. Hope beyond hope that maybe one song would rise above the rest.
No such luck.

If I were a music critic (and got paid for it) my review would be:

I've heard bad albums that just bore me, but I can't remember the last time music physically agitated me as much as that album.
